Downloads and digital products in Stores
It has become more and more frequent seeing artists and illustrators selling digital products on their online e-commerces, aside from physical products (original art or prints). That's why we've being working to include digital products and downloads on our STORE EXTRA.
If you are already subscribed to the STORE EXTRA, creating digital products and adding downloads to them is easy:
- 1) When creating a product, or editing an existing product, just enable the "This is a digital product" check.
- 2) On the product index list, you'll see a "Downloads" button along the usual "Edit", "Images", and "Delete" buttons for that product.
- 3) On the downloads management page for that product, you can add, edit, or delete downloads. Downloads are really simple: they just got a name and a file.
- 4) When a customer on your online store completes an order that includes one or more digital product, aside from the regular emails, she will receive a new email with a unique URL for the order, where she will find the links of all the downloads from the digital products purchased on that order. You can see that unique url too in the details of that Order, on the "Orders" section of Drawfolio. You can also send the email with the download links to your customer whenever you need.
