Better picture urls for SEO
10 Dec 2025
We keep making small improvements we had pending so that your work is better positioned in search engines. Until now, all the URLs for each individual image you’ve uploaded to your website were of the type [yourdomain.com]/picture/[an ID number]. For example, https://rosadegabriel.com/picture/251304. .
That can be greatly improved, so now you have the option for each image’s individual address to be of the type [yourdomain.com]/picture/[an ID number]/[a description]. For example, https://rosadegabriel.com/picture/251304/just-your-average-functional-family.
You can enable this by going to your portfolio's "Settings" and activating "Use URLs that include the title for each website’s images (better for SEO)", and then saving the changes.

This way, each image has a "URL" field where you can edit the last part of the address, which contains the descriptive text. To save you some work, we've already generated a value for that text based on the image’s title, so if you don’t want anything specific, you don't need to do anything else.

Also, don't worry if you had previously linked to any of the old URLs: they will always continue to work without the descriptive text at the end. For example, https://rosadegabriel.com/picture/251304.
